How It Happened
Play-by-Play

First Half

  • Belmont Abbey claimed the opening score 9:30 into the opening half as a pass across the box to a Crusader forward beat the Trojan keeper for the game's first goal.
  • The Crusaders offense went into high gear following the opening score as BAC blasted home two more goals in the 13th and 21st minutes to extend their lead to 3-0.
  • Mount Olive tried to find an answer but managed only one shot on goal as the first half came to a close.

Second Half

  • UMO's offense came out with a little more of a spark in the second half putting three shots on frame in the first four minutes of play, however, the Belmont Abbey keeper kept the Trojans out of the back of the net and kept the three-goal advantage intact.
  • The Crusaders with solid defensive play behind them went on to add two more goals in the 62nd and 88th minutes to close out the game and take a 5-0 win from Mount Olive.
