GAFFNEY, S.C. - The No. 8 seeded University of Mount Olive women's soccer team fell to top-seeded Limestone College 3-0 in the quarterfinals of the Conference Carolinas Championship Tournament, Tuesday night.

First Half

  • Limestone started from the opening kick with the momentum firing off six shots in the first 11 minutes.
  • The Saints capitalized on a strike from 30 yards out in the 14 minute from Danielle Murray and took the advantage, 1-0.
  • Mount Olive's offense struggled to get anything going as the Trojans were held without a shot during the first half.
  • Limestone added a second goal in the 33rd minute off a save deflection and took a two-goal cushion into halftime.

Second Half

  • The second half did not fare any better for the Trojans as the offense was shut down by the Saints as UMO was once again held without a shot for the second half.
  • Limestone added one final goal in the 87th minute sealing the win for the Saints.
