Saber Adds Laudenslager To Coaching Staff

MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. - Head Coach Sharif Saber announced the addition of Ric Laudenslager to the UMO Women's Soccer coaching staff. Laudenslager will serve as an assistant coach to the women's soccer program.

"We are very fortunate and thrilled to have Coach Laudenslager join our staff here at UMO.  I've worked with Ric for over ten years and the wealth of knowledge he will bring to our program, both on and off the field, will instantly improve us in every way.  He truly cares about the players, UMO, and continuing to raise the level of the program on a daily basis," said Saber.

Laudenslager comes to Mount Olive with more than 10 years of coaching experience in high school, club and college soccer. He recently coached at Penn Fusion Soccer Academy for four years as a staff coach and goalkeeper coach.

"It has been my dream to be able to coach the sport that I love on a full-time basis and to help contribute with Coach Saber in building a truly great overall program for everyone at UMO. I am grateful for the opportunity to help the UMO women's soccer program succeed both on and off the field," said Laudenslager.

Prior to his time at Penn Fusion, he was the goalkeeper coach at Penn State Brandywine from 2015-17, alongside head coach Sharif Saber, where he trained a second-team USCAA national goalkeeper. Laudenslager also served as the goalkeeper coach for the Kutztown High School varsity team from 2011-13.

Laudenslager currently has coaching licenses for the United Soccer Coaches Advanced National Diploma and Advanced National Goalkeeping Diploma.

He has also just completed an 18-year career as the Trash and Recycling Manager for Villanova University.
