Trojans Tame Lions Of Emmanuel 2-0

FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Georgia – The University of Mount Olive women's soccer team defeated the Lions of Emmanuel College 2-0 on the road in Conference Carolinas action Saturday afternoon in Franklin Springs, Ga.
 
Game Information
The Trojans were held scoreless until the 44th minute of the opening half when Emma Campbell found Jasmine Pinter for the first goal of the game. A second late goal, this time in the second half, in the 84th minute sealed the win for Mount Olive as Jaelyn Brown put UMO up 2-0.

Following the goal, UMO shut the game down allowing only one off-target shot and took the game by the final of 2-0.
 
Trojan Leaders
Mount Olive was led by Brown and Pinter's goals. Emma Campbell and Sara Berglund registered assists on the afternoon to help UMO's offense. 

Taylor Lewis (3-0, 2-0 CC) in goal for the Trojans recorded eight saves on eight Lion shots on target in all 90 minutes played.

Lion Leaders
Emmanuel was led by Hannah Logue and Molly Lunsford who both record three shots on goal in the game.

Key Moment
The goal by Pinter proved to be the game-winner as the insurance goal in the second half sealed the win for the Trojans.
