UMO Women's Soccer Downs Flying Fleet 4-0

DUE WEST, South Carolina– The University of Mount Olive women's soccer team took down the Flying Fleet of Erskine College 4-0 in Conference Carolinas action Saturday afternoon in Due West, S.C.
 
Game Information
Mount Olive took a little while to get a goal scored against the Flying Fleet but finally found the back of the net with Kali Schindler's score in the 23rd minute. Jasmine Pinter added UMO's second goal in the 36th minute as Sara Berglund picked up her second assist on the day and the Trojans took a two-goal lead into the break.

Berglund got her own goal in the second half late in the 81st minute and Riley Baker added a final nail in the coffin in the 89th to seal the win for the Trojans.

 
Trojan Leaders
Mount Olive was led by Berglund who scored one goal and assisted in two others in the victory. 

Taylor Lewis (6-0-1, 5-0-0) in the game recorded two saves on three shots.

Flying Fleet Leaders
Erskine was led by Maddie Cole who had the only shot on goal for the Flying Fleet.

 
Up Next: Mount Olive will remain on the road to take on archrival Barton College on October 16 at 5 p.m. in Wilson, N.C.
