Women's Soccer Draws With Chowan In Double Overtime

MOUNT OLIVE, North Carolina– The University of Mount Olive women's soccer team took the Hawks of Chowan University to double overtime but came out with a 0-0 draw in Conference Carolinas action Wednesday afternoon at Amon Field.
 
Game Information
Mount Olive was outmatched in the first half being outshot by double 8-to-4 and in the second half, it was not much better as the Hawks of Chowan took 12 shots to the Trojans five. Neither team found the net in regulation and the game headed into extra time. Both segments of extra time saw shots recorded by each team but a golden goal was not in the future as the game ended in a draw.

 
Trojan Leaders
Mount Olive was led by Jasmine Pinter who had four of UMO's 13 shots on the day. 

Taylor Lewis (8-0-2, 7-0-1) in the game recorded six saves on six shots.

Hawk Leaders
Chowan was led by Carolina Lucci who had five shots for the Hawks.
