Trojan Women's Soccer Pushes Through Tornado Of King University 5-1

BRISTOL, TENN.– The University of Mount Olive women's soccer team took down the Tornado of King University 5-1 in Conference Carolinas action Saturday afternoon in Bristol, Tenn.
 
Game Information
Mount Olive took the momentum from the very beginning scoring the opening goal 2:51 into the first half when Jasmine Pinter scored. Jaelyn Brown added a second goal for UMO in the 26th minute and King found a response in the 27th minute. Cami Pereira scored her first of two goals in the 41st minute to round out the scoring going into halftime. The Trojans added two more goals in the second half from Shaunalee Govia and Pereira and the game was well in hand by the time Pereira scored her second goal and Mount Olive took the 5-1 final. 

 
Trojan Leaders
Mount Olive was led by Cami Pereira who had two of UMO's five goals on the day. 

Taylor Lewis (9-0-2, 8-0-1) in the game recorded six saves on six shots.

Tornado Leaders
King was led by Tyler Feaster who had the only goal for the Tornado.

 
Up Next: Mount Olive will return to Amon Field for the Trojans' final regular-season home game against the Crusaders of Belmont Abbey on October 30 at 7 p.m.
