MOUNT OLIVE, North Carolina.– The University of Mount Olive women's soccer team took a double-overtime 2-2 draw against the Crusaders of Belmont Abbey College in Conference Carolinas action Wednesday night from Amon Field.

Game Information
The Crusaders of Belmont Abbey grabbed the momentum with the game's first goal in the 27th minute and took that score into the halftime break. Belmont Abbey added a second score in the 74th minute and the game seemed out of reach but Emma Campbell gave the Trojans life with her score in the 75th minute. The two scores came within 35 seconds of each other and the momentum started to shift. The seconds started to tick off the clock and a free-kick gave UMO one last chance to score and the Trojans pushed all players into the box. Shaunalee Govia served the ball into the box and found the foot of Sara Berglund to tie the game with 40 seconds left forcing overtime.

In overtime, UMO won both extra time periods in shots but could not find the back of the net and the game ended in a draw.
