Maite Belloso and Paulina Delgado both posted singles and doubles victories without dropping a any games as Mount Olive defeated Lees-McRae 9-0 in Conference Carolinas women's tennis Friday at Walker Tennis Center. The shutout was the Trojans' third this season.
Mount Olive (7-5 overall, 4-3 Conference Carolinas) took a quick 2-0 lead as Belloso combined with Roxanne Chouinard for an 8-0 win at No. 2 doubles and Delgado teamed with Samara Paldinho for an 8-0 victory at No. 3 doubles. Belloso won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4 singles and Delgado won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5 singles.
Mount Olive celebrates Senior Day Saturday as the Trojans play host to King in a Conference Carolinas match-up. Molly Sue Lentini will be recognized prior to the match. Match time is 1 p.m. at Walker Tennis Center.
