Women's Tennis Defeats King 9-0 - Trojans' Second Straight Shutout

Mount Olive dropped only one game in two doubles matches and the Trojans went on to post their second shutout in as many days with a 9-0 victory over King in Conference Carolinas women's tennis Saturday at Walker Tennis Center. Lone Trojan senior Molly Sue Lentini celebrated Senior Day with a straight-set win at No. 1 singles and an 8-1 victory with Francesca Ceppi at No. 1 doubles.

Mount Olive (8-5 overall, 5-3 Conference Carolinas) started the match with a 3-0 lead by virtue of two singles wins and a doubles win by default. Lentini's and Ceppi's doubles win, coupled with an 8-0 win at No. 2 doubles by Maite Belloso and Roxanne Chouinard, clinched the team victory for the Trojans. All four players won their singles matches in straight sets.

Mount Olive is off until next Saturday when the Trojans travel to Belmont, N.C., to take on Belmont Abbey in Conference Carolinas action. Match time is 1 p.m.
