Women's Tennis Shuts Out Bluefield 9-0

University of Mount Olive swept doubles play and won six of 10 sets at love in singles play as the Trojans defeated Bluefield College 9-0 in non-conference women's tennis Wednesday at Walker Tennis Center. The win was the Trojans' third in a row.

Mount Olive (4-1) took a 3-0 lead after doubles play. Francesca Ceppi won 6-3, 6-0 at No. 1 singles, Roxanne Chouinard posted a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 2 singles, Alejandra Hernandez won 6-0, 6-2 at No. 3 singles, Paulina Delgado also recorded a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 4 singles and Mariana Gamboa won 6-3, 6-1 at No. 5 singles.

Mount Olive returns to action Friday as the Trojans travel to Florence, S.C., to take on nationally 30th-ranked Francis Marion. Match time is 2:30 p.m.
