Women's Tennis Splits Pair Of Conference Carolinas Matches In Upstate South Carolina

University of Mount Olive split a pair of Conference Carolinas women's tennis matches this weekend, falling 9-0 Friday at Limestone and rebounding with a 9-0 victory Saturday at Converse. The loss to Limestone snapped the Trojans' five-match winning streak.

Mount Olive (7-2 overall, 3-1 Conference Carolinas) swept doubles play against Converse to take a 3-0 lead and won all six singles matches in straight sets. Alejandra Hernandez's 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 3 singles gave the Trojans a 5-0 lead and clinched the team victory.

Friday's and Saturday's matches were the first two of three Conference Carolinas matches in four days for Mount Olive. The Trojans head to Misenheimer, N.C., Monday to take on Pfeiffer. Match time is 1 p.m.
