Mount Olive, N.C. – The University of Mount Olive women's tennis team fell to Erskine College, 5-4, on Saturday morning at the John Neal Walker Tennis Center in Mount Olive, N.C.

INSIDE THE RESULTS

  • In doubles play, UMO found itself behind 2-1 after the Trojans' lone doubles victory came from senior Stella Di Michelle and sophomore Julie Gonzalez-Rodriguez as the duo captured an 8-3 win at No.1 doubles.
  • The Trojans battled back in singles action winning their matchups at No. 1, 2, and 3.
  • Senior Alejandra Hernandez earned a 7-6, 6-3 win at No. 3 singles, while Di Michelle grabbed a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 1 and Gonzalez-Rodriguez won her matchup at No. 2, 6-2, 6-4.
  • The Flying Fleet earned the match win by capturing victories at No. 4, 5, and 6 singles, winning the match 5-4.
