Sumter, S.C. - The University of Mount Olive women's tennis team opened their season at the Palmetto Tennis Invitational last weekend, Sept. 15-17.
The duo of Jennifer Byrd/Nicole La Chappelle finished in the semifinals of doubles flight B as the highest finishing Trojan team of the weekend.
In singles play, Emma Burroughs, Caroline Carter, and Julissa Quintanilla all finished in the quarterfinals of the singles C flight.
La Chappelle fell in the Round of 32 in singles flight B, but advanced to the consolation semifinals where her tournament ended with a 2-2 record.

The Trojans return to action on the court as they travel back to Sumter, S.C. for the ITA Southeast Regional Tournament that runs from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1.
