MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. - The University of Mount Olive women's tennis team swept the Tornado of King University 9-0 in Conference Carolinas competition at the John Neal Walker Tennis Courts in Mount Olive, N.C.

INSIDE THE RESULTS
- The Trojans came out of the doubles round holding the 3-0 advantage over the Tornado.
- Sonja Gärtner and Areej Fareh won the No. 1 doubles point, 8-0, while Alex Goffin and Jennifer Byrd also won 8-0, claiming the No. 2 doubles point.
- Nicole La Chappelle and Emma Burroughs won the No. 3 doubles point by default as King didn't have enough players.
- In singles the women made the clean sweep winning flights 1-5 and won by default at No. 6.
- Goffin won the No. 2 flight 6-0, 6-0 giving UMO the 4-0 lead.
- La Chappelle's 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 4 clinched the match for the Trojan's second consecutive win.
- Gärtner kept the sweep alive with a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 1, while Fareh and Byrd closed out the match with 8-0 wins at the No. 3 & 5 flights respectively.
- Burroughs won by default at No. 6 as she had no opponent to compete against.
