SUMTER, S.C. - The University of Mount Olive women's tennis team fell in the quarterfinals of the Conference Carolinas women's tennis championship tournament 5-2 to the fourth-seeded Crusaders of Belmont Abbey College at the Sumter Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter, S.C.

INSIDE THE RESULTS
- Mount Olive quickly found themselves trailing 3-0 after the completion of the doubles round.
- Sonja Gärtner picked up one point for the Trojans as she defeated the No. 1 player from Belmont Abbey in straight sets 6-3, 6-0.
- Areej Fareh earned the other UMO point after picking up a 6-1, 6-1 win in the No. 2 singles flight.
- BAC won the No. 5 and No. 6 singles games to reach the five-point needed to win the match as the Crusaders won 5-2.
- The No. 3 & No. 4 singles games went unfinished after Belmont Abbey reached five-points.
Mount Olive's season comes to a close with a final record of 7-14 and a 6-5 conference mark.
