FLORENCE, S.C. - The University of Mount Olive women's tennis team fell to the Bearcats of Lander University 4-0 on the opening day of the City of Florence 2019 College Tournament hosted by Francis Marion University in Florence, S.C.

- The Trojans found themselves trailing the Bearcats after the doubles sets wrapped up 2-1.
- Arianna Orozco and Lina Maria Alarcon won the doubles No. 1 set 6-2 but Lander won the third doubles set to take the single doubles point into the singles bouts.
- Lander won three quick singles matches to take the game 4-0 over the Trojans leaving the remaining three singles bouts unfinished.
