BANNER ELK, N.C. - The Mount Olive Trojans defeated the Bobcats of Lees-McRae Colege 6-1 on Saturday afternoon in Conference Carolinas women's tennis action at the Fred I. Dickerson Athletic Complex in Banner Elk, N.C.

INSIDE THE RESULTS
- Mount Olive started the day off sweeping all three doubles matches starting off with the No. 3 duo of Ece Yuksel and Emma Burroughs won 6-3.
- Lina Maria Alarcon and Arianna Orozco won the No. 1 match with a 7-6 (7-2) result and Deike Schipper and Carmen Espinos took No. 2, 7-6 (7-4).
- In singles action, the Trojans won five of the six singles matches to win 6-1 overall giving up one match in the No. 3 flight.
- Espinos won her match fist with a 6-2, 6-2 result at No. 5.
- Lees-McRae took the next match as Orozco fell at No. 3, 6-4, 6-4.
- Mount Olive closed out the match with four straight wins starting with Yuksel at No. 1, who won in three sets 2-6, 6-3, 6-1.
- Schipper made quick work of her opponent in the No. 4 flight winning 6-0, 6-1.
- Alarcon won the No. 2 singles bout 7-6, 6-2, with a 7-5 tiebreaker to decide the first set.
- Burroughs wrapped up the action with an intense win in the No. 6 slot winning her match in three sets 3-6, 6-2, 13-11.
