WILSON, N.C. - The Mount Olive Trojans edged out the Bulldogs of Barton College 4-3 on Wednesday afternoon in Conference Carolinas women's tennis action at the Barton College Tennis Courts in Wilson, N.C.

INSIDE THE RESULTS
- Barton entered the singles round with a 1-0 lead after winning two of the three doubles matches.
- Lina Maria Alarcon and Arianna Orozco won in the No. 1 flight with a 6-2 victory against the No. 1 Barton duo.
- The Bulldogs took a 2-0 lead after winning the No. 1 singles flight, but the Trojans of Mount Olive came back through the next four matches to clinch the match 4-3 after Barton won the No. 6 singles match.
- Alarcon got UMO their first point following a 6-1, 6-0 win in the No. 2 flight.
- Deike Schipper finished next and knotted the match score at two-all with a 6-4, 6-3 victory in the fourth flight.
- Orozco gave UMO the first lead in match points after her three-set win, 6-4, 4-6, 6-1, in the third singles flight.
- Carmen Espinos clinched the match for Mount Olive as she too won her match in three sets, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3.
