Aerostata Brown, who earned an NCAA II provisional qualifying mark in the triple jump at last weekend's Tar Heel Open, posted another provisional qualifying mark in the long jump as the University of Mount Olive women's indoor track and field team competed in the Hilton Garden INNvitational this past weekend at Winston-Salem, N.C. The two-day meet began Friday and concluded Saturday.

The meet was held at JDL Fast Track, which will be the site of the 2014 NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships, as well as the 2014 Conference Carolinas Championships.

Brown topped her own school record in the long jump with a distance of 5.55 meters. She also set a school record in the 60 meters with a time of 7.96 seconds, beating the previous record time of 7.99 seconds she shared with Alaytra Carswell.

Tunisia Prince posted the third fastest time in school history in the 60 meters with a time of 8.06 seconds. Prince and Chelsea van Dijk both ran the 200 meters in a time of 26.69 seconds, tying for the second fastest time in Trojan history.

Mount Olive heads north next weekend as the Trojan men's and women's track and field teams travel to New York City to compete in the Armory Collegiate Invitational. The two-day event, hosted by New York Road Runners, gets underway Friday and concludes Saturday.
