Trojans Compete At Johnson C. Smith Invitational

The university of Mount Olive Outdoor Women's Track and Field team competed at the Johnson C. Smith Invitational this past weekend. Bailee Henry and Char'De Washington took high honors as they both broke school records.

Henry broke the school record in the 1500M with a time of 4:53.22. Nichole Poppe broke the school record in the Hammer at 44.75M, held by Washington at 40.75M, however it did not last long. Washington threw after Poppe and regained her spot at the top as she threw for a distance of 45.32M.

Alexis McNeil moved into second place in the 100m with a time of 12.30 seconds. Poppe also moved into second place all-time in the discus as she threw for a distance of 36.84M.

Mount Olive will compete in the Conference Carolinas Outdoor Championships April 24-25 in Banner Elk, N.C.
