Track & Field Have A Successful Weekend Competing In Dual Meets

Winston-Salem, N.C./Newport News, Va. – The University of Mount Olive men's and women's track & field teams picked up three NCAA Provisional Qualifiers and broke two school records as the teams competed at both the Vince Brown Invitational and the Christopher Newport Invitational over the weekend.

MEN'S NOTABLES

  • Nick Greyno set a new UMO record in the weight throw with a distance of 16.34m at the Christopher Newport Invitational.
  • Jonathan Dahlke, Johnny Middlebrooks, Jacob Urys, and Brady Deaner picked up a NCAA Provisional Qualifying mark in the Distance Medley Relay. The foursome's mark of 10:06.00 marked 10 seconds off the DMR's team time last week.
  • Adam Craig earned a NCAA Provisional Qualifying time in the 3000m with a time of 8:18.51 just four seconds behind UMO record holder Dylan Lafond.
