Mount Olive, N.C. – In its final home match of the season, the University of Mount Olive women's volleyball team dropped a three-set match to King University in Conference Carolinas action Saturday afternoon.

FIRST SET

  • The Trojans came out of the gate fast taking and early lead and continuing to push King.
  • UMO looked to pull away late in the set as Mount Olive held a 22-17 lead.
  • Late in the frame, King found its swing, as the Tornado used a 12-5 run to win the set.

SECOND SET

  • Feeding off the momentum from the first set victory, King took control early.
  • UMO attempted to mount a comeback at the midway point, but could not string points together.

THIRD SET

  • King looked to put the Trojans away early in the third, but Mount Olive showed plenty of fight.
  • The Trojans closed within 22-20, but could not hold off King as the Tornado finished the match on a 3-0 run.
