BRISTOL, TENN. - The University of Mount Olive women's volleyball team fell in four sets to the Tornado of King University Friday evening in Conference Carolinas competition in Bristol, Tenn.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Play-by-Play
FIRST SET
- The Tornado opened up an early lead as they quickly went up 10-3 over the Trojans to start the match.
- UMO pulled within six points, trailing 16-10, before King closed out the first set on a 9-5 run to go up 1-0.
SECOND SET
- The second set started more competitively with the teams tying six times before the Tornado gained the three-point advantage, 9-6.
- UMO came within two points of KU several times before the score settled at 21-19.
- King answered with a 4-1 run to close out the set giving the Tornado a two-set lead.
THIRD SET
- The third set opened with King taking the early 8-1 lead.
- UMO trailed by as many as eight, 20-12, before the Trojans went on a 7-1 run to trail by two, 21-19.
- Mount Olive closed out the set on a 6-2 run to win the third set 25-20 and put the match at 2-1.
FOURTH SET
- UMO carried some momentum into the fourth set going up 5-1 out of the gate.
- The Tornado came back to tie and take the lead 8-5, which they would not relinquish the remainder of the match.
- Mount Olive came within one, 13-12, before King closed out the match on a 12-7 run winning 3-1 over the Trojans.

UMO returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 4, as they travel to Banner Elk, N.C. to face the Bobcats of Lees-McRae. First serve is set for 2 p.m. in the Trojans regular season finale.
