Hanle And Owens Set PR's at 46th Annual Paul Short Invitational

BETHLEHEM, Pennsylvania - The University of Mount Olive women's cross country team sent two runners to the 46th running of the annual Paul Short Invitational hosted by Lehigh University on Saturday, Oct. 10, at the Goodman Campus Cross Country Course.

MEET INFORMATION
The two Mount Olive runners, Leah Hanle and Amber Owens, competed as individuals at the Paul Short. Hanle ran in College Gold Race, while Owens ran in the College Brown Race.

INSIDE THE RESULTS
Hanle finished 19th overall and was the second-highest finishing Division II runner in a field of primarily Division I athletes. The senior from Lichtenstein, Germany, set a new personal and school record in the Women's 6K with her time of 20:23.3. She beat her old time of 20:28 by five seconds.

Owens had a strong race as well finishing 60th of 328 runners in the College Women's Brown race. Owens' time of 22:13.9 is a personal best for the sophomore from Lincoln, England. Her previous PR was 23:35 set at the 2018 Conference Carolinas Championships last season.
