MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. - The Mount Olive Trojans down the Saints of Limestone College 6-1 on Sunday afternoon in Conference Carolinas men's tennis action at John Neal Walker Tennis Center in Mount Olive, N.C.

  • Limestone took the first doubles match but Mount Olive came back to win the No. 1 & 2 doubles matches to win the doubles point and take a 1-0 lead into the singles rounds.
  • Armando Ferreira and Milosh Petrovic, who are ranked 37th nationally as a duo, defeated their opponents 6-3 as the No. 1 pair, while teammates Martin Moser and Pablo Safont Ferrer won doubles No. 2 6-1.
  • Moser started the singles round with a 6-2, 6-0 win as the No. 2 single player.
  • Limestone took the next bout with a 6-2, 6-3 win in the No. 4 singles match, claiming their only point of the match.
  • The remaining matches were all won by Trojans as in order of 6, 3, 1, 5.
  • No. 6 Pablo Safont Ferrer won the No. 6 match 7-5, 6-2 while Milosh Petrovic won in the No. 3 spot 6-1, 6-0.
  • UMO's No. 1 player, Armando Ferreira, won his match in two sets, 6-0, 6-4, and Victor Nunez gathered the last point for UMO after winning the No. 5 singles match 7-5, 6-2.

Mount Olive returns to action on Friday, March 29 when the team travels to Bristol, Tenn., to face the Tornado of King University. The Trojans and Tornado meet on the court at 3 PM at the King University Tennis Complex.
