FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA. - The Mount Olive Trojans fell the Lions of Emmanuel College 4-3 on Friday afternoon in Conference Carolinas men's tennis action at the EC Tennis Courts in Franklin Springs, Ga.

  • The Trojans exited the doubles round having swept all three matches claiming the lone double point.
  • The duo of Martin Moser and Pablo Safont Ferrer picked up the first win for the Trojans defeating their opponents 6-1 at doubles No. 2.
  • Jack Middleton and Victor Nunez, playing the No. 3 spot, won their match 6-3, clinching the doubles point for UMO.
  • Armando Ferreira and Milosh Petrovic closed out the doubles round with a 6-3 win at doubles No. 1.
  • Moving on to the singles round, the Lions won four of the six singles bouts to narrowly take the match from the Trojans.
  • Ferreira in the No. 1 singles flight, dropped his contest after retiring from the match.
  • Emmanuel took a 2-1 lead following a win at the No. 5 flight as Nunez fell 6-0, 6-0.
  • Milosh Petrovic knotted the overall match score at two-points each with a 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 3.
  • The Lions won singles matches No. 2 and 4 securing the match victory, while Safont Ferrer won the No. 6 flight 6-2, 6-4 putting the final match score at 4-3 with Emmanuel narrowly escaping with the win.
