First Half

  • Mount Olive fell behind Emmanuel in the first half of the opening period as the Lions scored the game's first goal in the 18th minute, a 1-0 score that stood until halftime.

Second Half

  • The Trojans were not able to find the game-tying goal until Hannah Kirk made good on a penalty opportunity in the 76th minute to knot the game at one.
  • Emmanuel quickly jumped back in front two minutes later with a goal at the 77:38 mark.
  • UMO found some last minute heroics as Elena Esparcia found Lauren Mumford for the second Mount Olive goal at the 86:00 mark.
  • Neither team was able to score in the last four minutes and the contest headed for extra time.


  • EC did find the golden goal two seconds into the 95th minute to seal the win for the Lions.
